At the beginnig of the Sunset Bike Tour you will walk around the Tuscan village of Fiesole, visiting the hill of San Francesco, with a superb view point to Florence and the XV century Monastery of St.Francis still inhabited by monks.

Than we will move up, deep in the Tuscan countryside (500m-1600ft a.s.l.) from where you will start the bike experience.
Through a unique rural scenery, an intense bike tour at the sunset when the colors of nature turn magic, transforming the countryside around Fiesole and Florence into an unparalleled landscape.
We circumnavigate the hill of Montececeri, known for the extraction and processing of the famous Pietra Serena (grey sandstone), a material which has been largely used in several art works in Florence (for example the Brunelleschi Dome and the Loggia of Uffizi) ever since the Renaissance. Montececeri is also known for being the place of Leonardo Da Vinci’s first flight attempts.

When in Florence, safely, following the cycle path along the river Arno you will easily get the center of the city.
At the beginning of the bike trip we’ll do a brief stop at a local traditional Tuscan farm to taste and eat bread and excellent local extra virgin olive oil.

After the tour, all participants will return to their respective places by INDEPENDENT MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. Ask for information on bus routes. It’s easy and cheaper!

All the bike tours include, without any additional cost, a brief stop at a traditional Tuscan olive oil and wine farm to taste and eat bread and excellent local extra virgin olive oil, as is tradition ever since I was a child, making the places you are visiting even more extraordinary and your bike tour a true local experience. Purchase (and shipping) of olive oil and Chianti wine is available from the farm.

Departure from Fiesole, Piazza Mino da Fiesole, bus terminal ATAF number 7.
Fiesole is a village just outside of Florence, 6 km (3.7 mi) distance from the city center, and it's very convenient to get to by public bus from downtown.
From Florence center (Largo Alinari map link) to go to Fiesole and reach our meeting point with public transportation it’s easy, cheap, ecologically-friendly, for certain itineraries it is even mandatory and therefore all itineraries are scheduled according to public transport timetables
