ABOUT THE TOUR

Cycling by e-bike from Fiesole and its hills dotted with secular villas is a truly unique experience, and a very affordable one.

First we’ll visit walking Fiesole, the hill of San Francesco, with a superb view point to Florence, and the XV century Monastery of St. Francis still inhabited by monks.

Than we will move up, deep in the Tuscan countryside.

The e-bike tour will be characterized by the green color of olive tree groves and cypresses, with several testimonies of the thousand-year-old history of this Tuscan area: neo gothic castles, monasteries and old parishes. Discovering the bind with the surrounding territory, we will ride using secondary roads away from the bustle of the city. You will see where Leonardo da Vinci lived and dreamed about human flight, where Dante fell in love with Beatrice. Breathtaking panoramic views of Florence, the hills and countryside surrounded by fields of olive trees.

The tour includes a brief stop at a local traditional Tuscan farm to taste and eat Tuscan bread and excellent local extra virgin olive oil (the tasting is included in the price).

EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL AND WINE TASTING

All the bike tours include, without any additional cost, a brief stop at a traditional Tuscan olive oil and wine farm: Fattoria di Montereggi. You will taste and eat bread and excellent local extra virgin olive oil, as is tradition ever since I was a child, and a glass of red house wine (a "gottin di vino"), making the places you are visiting even more extraordinary and your bike tour a true local experience.

Purchase (and shipping) of olive oil and Chianti wine is available from the farm.
